Project Overview
AWSM is a platform designed to simplify the process of sharing equity with customers, similar to Venmo but with ownership instead of cash. As AWSM expanded, the need for a scalable backend solution became critical to efficiently manage client onboarding, documents, legal entities, and API keys.
The challenge
AWSM required a robust backend system to manage the growing number of clients and to handle essential business operations, including sales data. The goal was to create a scalable solution that would allow AWSM to support its expanding client base effectively and responsibly.
Research & ideation
I began by analyzing the existing backend system in order to identify reusable elements and areas requiring redesign. This project evolved into a comprehensive redesign, rather than a complete rebuild, which significantly reduced the implementation time.
With clear objectives in place, I focused on developing a new navigation model and layout that would simplify the user interface. By reusing existing components where possible, I created a solution that could scale as the business grows.

Outcomes and Results
The redesigned platform provided AWSM with a scalable solution for managing client onboarding and operations effectively. By automating key processes, the platform enhances customization options for clients while saving AWSM valuable resources.
This project reinforced the importance of iterative design. By focusing on global navigation first, I streamlined the creation of the necessary pages and layouts, ultimately saving time and resources for both myself and the company.
